About Us

Pleion is a trusted name amongst the design studios with its strong plans and vision. We are one of the largest vintage production manufacturers in India. Focusing on clothing, accessories, and home décor products, the studio has an immense presence among boutique and artisanal product manufacturers. The company delivers products across women, and kid’s wear. Our vertically integrated operations, diversified product range, and strong commitment to sustainable operations have established Pleion as one of the most preferred manufacturers in the world.

Our unique selling proposition is to provide all services in-house, from designing, sourcing, and sample creation to bulk manufacturing. We deal in vintage, handcrafted, and recycled products to provide antique lovers with a huge variety to choose from. We also collaborate with rural craftsmen of India providing employment to them and bringing the art alive to the world. We pay homage to the supreme craftsmanship of India by creating exquisite ensembles and handcrafted products, oftentimes designing collections with the sole aim of uplifting our artisans. About the Founder

Ms. Sakshi is an experienced Fashion Designer with a demonstrated history of working in the garment industry. An MBA in Fashion Business Management, she is skilled in Trend Analysis, surface ornamentation, sample development, Fashion Illustration, Retail, and Creative Design.

With an astounding experience of 16 years to her credit, she has worked with export houses, buying agencies, and freelance designers. Her signature style showed an affinity for indigenous craft tradition, coupled with a modern aesthetic. Her work speaks for itself. She has worked with high-end boutique labels such as Anthropologie, Alice and Olivia, Monsoon and Free People.

An ethical revivalist of local craft, Sakshi advocates compassionate living. She shares this worldview with her husband, Anshuman Vig, who works alongside her.

Sakshi believes that fashion plays a defining role in enhancing a person’s confidence and sense of self. We seek to create luxurious designs that leave unforgettable impressions on the world and are yet versatile enough to transcend people, places, and occasions.

Envisioning a future that fails to account for the future needs of our planet is a counterproductive business practice according to Sakshi.

SERVICES

We have in-house experts who gives us basic sketches which gives an unique look to the final product.

We have a team of in-house designers who do extensive research on fabrics, trims, surface ornamentation, heritage techniques, dyeing, and_ printing methods. Our expert hands convert runway trends into forever pieces adding a spark to timeless fashion.

Fabrics are sourced from different places all over the country. Some of them are dead stocks and leftovers which are used in productions instead of being sent to the landfill. We deal in Kala cotton, hand-spun, and hand-woven textiles. Our aim is to support rural hand weavers. Our natural and organic fabrics such as cotton, linen, soya bean, banana, eucalyptus, etc. are in demand. Trim and laces, beads, sequins, fasteners are sourced for fabric surface decoration.

We have an in house team of measurement checkers, quality controllers and quality auditors. All our samples and productions are inspected by our team of designers and merchandisers for their visual aspects and design elements.

We help our clients in translating their ideas into finished products. We suggest appropriate colors, fabrics, techniques, and technical aspects such as price, production feasibility and product availability.

PROCESSES

Initially, a sample is prepared and once it is approved by the designer and client, the production takes place. Our team of researchers do immense research and development for each project to make it unique and best in quality leaving zero waste.

Every product goes through various stages like cutting, sewing, stitching, embroidery, embellishment, etc. before going into final checks and quality controls. Once approved by quality auditors, the product goes through the packing process and is sent to freight forwarders.

There are various automated machines which does fine sewing and there is no point of any mistakes. Every phase of production follows a fixed process with a complete
checklist.

Our designers follow a smooth process to make the functioning easy yet profound for their team. All the cuttings are done with high level advanced tools so that the edges are fine. The customers will get an awesome touch in the cutting process.

We use hand embroidery, free-motion embroidery, and tambour beading to decorate our fabrics, clothing, and other products. Various types of multi-media techniques are used.

Every single piece is finished and finalised with utmost care. We give an awesome finishing touch to each and every product.

Working with rural artisans

We revive age-old methods of embroidery, embellishment, and handicrafts with modern design elements. We work on the rich techniques and heritage of Indian handicrafts.

Vintage sourcing & upcycling – zero waste

We are sourcing vintage and heirloom textiles from villages all over the country. We believe in sustainable and ethical fashion and approach towards sourcing, manufacturing, and designing clothes that maximize the benefits to the fashion industry and society at large, while at the same time minimizing its impact on the environment.
